Experience
I attended Oakwood University and the University of Maryland - College Park. As a graduate teaching assistant, I have gained teaching experience in general and organic chemistry topics. Every year, I eagerly anticipate watching students do well in these courses. In order to make chemistry easier to understand and less of a mystery, I often use physical models, examples, and even metaphors. It is important to me that my students fully understand the topics. The basic principles of chemistry are what I strive to explain simply and fully so that my students can later build on that foundation to tackle complex scientific topics within chemistry and other areas of study.I can tutor students in chemistry, organic chemistry, International Baccalaureate (IB) chemistry HL, IB chemistry SL, and algebra levels 1-4. Other topics in my tutoring skill set include elementary and middle school mathematics, pre-algebra, and general science. I live in Bowie, Maryland. When I'm not tutoring students, I enjoy reading for pleasure, exploring new technology, and enjoying music. I look forward to teaching students about science, and helping those I tutor to achieve their academic goals.
