Hello, my name is Ed and I am a tutor for students needing help in high school and college level math and science classes. To provide you with a little background, I have recently obtained my Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Maryland, College Park where I collaborated alongside a number of government laboratories to better understand the chemistry behind fingerprints. I have also earned a M.S. in Chemistry from University of Maryland and a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Forensic Science from West Virginia University.
Experience
I have an extensive background in tutoring and teaching students on the high school and college levels. For the past four years I have been tutoring high school students in Montgomery and Howard counties in a number of subjects both privately and through tutoring agencies. The subjects I am most often asked to tutor include: Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Physical Science, Biology, Geometry, Algebra 1 & 2, Pre-calculus, and standardized test prep. I am also comfortable in aiding with AP Environmental Science, Statistics, and college level Chemistry (General, Organic, Analytical, etc.). In addition to tutoring I have also taught general chemistry laboratory classes at both West Virginia University and University of Maryland.
